Job summary

CDM Smith seeks a Senior Manager, Project Controls to lead our enterprise project controls across a large portfolio of municipal, industrial, and federal projects. You will define governance, standards, and a roadmap to improve cost, schedule, risk, and commercial controls.

The role emphasizes integrated delivery, digital transformation, and a strong focus on analytics, dashboards, AI-enabled forecasting, and scalable document controls. Travel up to 50% may be required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership of project controls across large, complex portfolios.
• Experience with integrated design-build and other delivery models.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale digital transformation and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Enterprise Leadership and Governance: define strategy, standards, governance model and adoption.
• Integrated Design-Build and Alternative Delivery: set controls for DB, progressive DB, CMAR and others.
• Cost, Schedule, and Commercial Controls: budgeting, EVM, forecasting, variance analysis, scheduling, change management.
• Portfolio Performance and Risk: develop indicators, health reviews, dashboards, actionable insights.
• Digital Transformation and Innovation: modernize platforms, workflows, automation, AI forecasting.
• Information and Document Controls: establish scalable data quality and traceability standards.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: collaborate with leadership across functions to improve outcomes.
• Team and Capability Development: build and develop schedulers, cost controllers and document control pros.
