Job summary

Xylem is seeking a Sr. Product Lifecycle Excellence Manager in Charlotte, NC to build and scale enterprise product lifecycle practices from strategy through end‑of‑life.

You will translate PM Excellence strategy into governance, standards, and metrics that drive profitable growth and faster decision‑making. The role requires strong product and portfolio judgment, 80/20 thinking, financial acumen, and change leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, marketing, finance, operations, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in product management, portfolio management, product lifecycle management, product operations, strategy, or related role.
• Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end product or portfolio lifecycle decisions.
• Experience applying 80/20, portfolio segmentation, SKU rationalization, or similar complexity-management methods.
• Strong financial and analytical acumen with ability to connect choices to growth, margin, and investment trade-offs.
• Ability to create enterprise frameworks, governance, metrics, and operating rhythms in a global matrix.
• Excellent facilitation, stakeholder-management, and change-leadership skills.
• Ability to move between strategy and execution with multiple workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Establish and scale the enterprise product lifecycle management system across strategy, development, launch, and end-of-life.
• Standardize portfolio simplification and 80/20 discipline with data-driven decision criteria.
• Create executive-ready dashboards linking lifecycle actions to growth, margin, and cash.
• Improve launch-to-end-of-life decision quality and governance across teams.
• Lead cross-functional adoption, coaching, and continuous improvement initiatives.
