Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Senior Director, Enterprise PMO in Deerfield, IL. This on-site role leads enterprise project, program, and portfolio management capabilities, partnering with executive leadership to translate strategy into an integrated portfolio and measurable business outcomes.

The Senior Director leads PMO teams, drives governance, reporting, and value realization across the enterprise, and serves as a trusted advisor to executives for portfolio performance and investment decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of experience in progressively more responsible strategy development and execution, project management, business development, consulting, or financial roles.
• Experience directing strategy programs within a corporation or management consulting firm.
• Experience in portfolio or corporate planning type functions.
• Experience with large-scale and complex transformation change efforts in retail organizations.
• At least 5 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
• At least 5 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross-functional team leadership.
• Willing to travel up to 5% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Responsibilities

• Leads the delivery of strategic business initiatives by coordinating teams that will define, manage and deliver results from significant programs.
• Implements Walgreens strategic vision through tactics, collaboration and leadership.
• Establishes and drives a company-wide portfolio management process to ensure consistency for prioritizing, monitoring and decision-making of corporate wide initiatives.
• Assists leadership team with holding one another accountable for results and defines metrics for value generation.
• Provides analysis and evaluation of business cases to aid executive decision making and prioritization.
• Works with finance and operations to integrate program benefits into forecasts.
• Sets up and facilitates governance forums that drive project objectives and mobilize teams.
• Oversees portfolio management process design and tools across PMO for cross-functional support.
• Proposes strategic narratives for internal and external audiences.
• Leads the delivery of strategic business initiatives by coordinating teams that will define, manage and deliver results.
• Develops and mentors staff through onboarding, training and performance management; fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace.
