Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Senior Manager, Media Strategy & Planning to partner with Marketing Leadership, agency teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to develop and execute enterprise media strategies. The role leads investment planning, calendar management, and performance optimization across the portfolio, reporting to senior leadership and coordinating with Finance, Analytics, and agencies.

Office-based in Deerfield, IL, on-site four days a week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of experience in media planning and strategy, or High School/GED with at least 7 years of experience.
• Experience in integrated media planning across traditional and digital media.
• Experience with leading teams and managing resources.
• Experience budgeting and deploying scenarios and business cases.
• Experience with Marketing Mix Modeling and attribution tools (Nielsen, Ipsos, etc.).
• Experience collaborating with marketing, creative, measurement and other internal/external resources.
• Experience influencing at the executive level.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for business purposes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates on development of enterprise media strategies and plans that span Walgreens' business.
• Leads annual planning for the media discipline, including segmentation strategies, channel mixes, flighting plans and investment approaches.
• Leads channel investment and partnership strategy, including major media investments like the Video Upfront.
• Supports campaign media teams by applying enterprise strategies within campaigns.
• Manages scenario planning and calendar/plan changes and tracks planned expenditures.
