Job summary

Southern Company Gas is seeking a Manager, Pipeline Safety to lead the Pipeline Safety Management System (APEX), directing strategy, governance and enterprise initiatives across multiple functions to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

You will translate safety objectives into actionable programs, manage MOC efforts, drive risk-informed decisions, and collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Compliance, and senior leadership to align with regulatory requirements and enterprise

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, safety, operations, business, project management, risk management, organizational learning, or related field.
• Graduate degree and professional credentials are preferred.
• Experience translating regulatory requirements into executable processes and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead PSMS analysis, program management, assessments, reporting, and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate enterprise projects leveraging API RP 1173 elements and initiatives.
• Develop and implement MOC-focused processes and governance.
• Present performance, risks, gaps, and priorities to leadership forums.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Compliance, and Legal to align with requirements.
• Coach and develop cross-functional teams and contractors for program success.
