Job summary

Carhartt seeks an Enterprise Payment Fraud Strategist to design and execute a comprehensive fraud prevention program across customer payment channels and platforms. You will collaborate with stakeholder teams like Cyber Security, IT, Finance, eCommerce, and legal/compliance to balance risk and growth.

Lead the fraud framework, KPIs, and loss metrics while guiding external partners and ensuring regulatory alignment. This role emphasizes strategic insight and cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of progression in fraud risk management or related fields.
• Experience developing or managing fraud strategies with metrics.
• Cross-functional collaboration with business, tech, and risk teams.
• Strong use of fraud data and operational metrics to drive decisions.
• Ability to prepare executive-level fraud performance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the enterprise fraud strategy for customer payments across sales channels.
• Establish risk-based controls, decisioning principles, and performance objectives.
• Balance fraud mitigation with customer experience and revenue preservation.
• Define fraud risk appetite and governance with leadership.
• Oversee external payments ecosystem strategy and partners.
• Lead discussions on trends, performance, and risk mitigation.
• Act as subject matter expert for customer payment fraud with stakeholders.
• Assess fraud risk for new initiatives and system changes; define controls.
• Define and oversee a fraud KPI and loss metric framework.
• Analyze trends and macro patterns to inform strategic decisions.
• Provide executive insights on fraud exposure and impact.
• Ensure alignment with regulatory expectations and network rules.
