Job summary

Ether.fi is seeking a Fraud Lead who combines a hunter mindset with practical engineering to defend a multi‑billion‑dollar card program. You’ll own the full fraud stack across campaigns, funds flows, and the card program, collaborating closely with Engineering, CX and compliance teams.

Qualifications

Interest in spotting anomalous patterns and scams.
Ability to find signals in noisy transaction data.
High ownership, low-ego, and adaptable in fast-moving environments.

Responsibilities

Own real-time fraud monitoring, alerting, and automated mitigation systems
Hunt emerging threats: cashback farming, card testing, merchant abuse, friendly fraud, money laundering
Develop and tune advanced fraud rules, behavioral signals, and scoring logic
Work on internal tools, dashboards, and scripts to increase team effectiveness
Define fraud strategy and operational playbooks that scale with the business
Communicate with cross-teams and external partners to mitigate fraud risks
