Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company seeks a Patch Management Specialist at mid level to coordinate patching across operating systems, applications, and infrastructure in mission-critical environments. You will plan cycles, assess patch criticality, and design deployment approaches that minimize disruption while meeting policy requirements.

You will work with security and operations teams to prioritize remediation, oversee testing and phased rollout, and ensure timely deployment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS or related field or equivalent experience.
• 4–6 years in patch management or infrastructure security roles.
• Experience with patch management principles and WSUS/SCCM.

Responsibilities

• Lead assessment, testing, and deployment of OS and application patches.
• Design patching schedules and maintenance windows to minimize impact.
• Troubleshoot failed patches and coordinate with admins and owners.
• Implement automated patch workflows with targeting and rules.
• Monitor feeds and dashboards to prioritize deployment by risk and SLA.
• Document procedures, baselines, and reporting for audits.
• Collaborate with vulnerability management and security teams.
