Job summary

Qualifications

• Typically 4–6 years of patch management or related infrastructure security roles.
• Strong understanding of patch management principles and tools such as WSUS/SCCM.
• Proven problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in assessments, audits, and automated patch management solutions.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead assessment, testing, and deployment of OS and application patches across enterprise endpoints using centralized tools like WSUS or SCCM.
• Design and maintain patching schedules, rollout plans, and maintenance windows to minimize business impact.
• Troubleshoot and remediate failed patches, coordinating with admins and owners on workarounds and fixes.
• Implement and tune automated patch management workflows including targeting and deadlines.
• Monitor vulnerability feeds and compliance dashboards to prioritize patch deployment by risk and SLAs.
• Document patch management procedures, baselines, and reporting for audits and improvements.
• Collaborate with security operations to align patching with threats and regulatory obligations.
