Job summary

The University of Connecticut Information Technology Services (ITS) seeks a Manager of Network Engineering and Operations to lead the Network Engineering and Network Operations teams across the Storrs campus and regional sites. You will oversee daily operations, support, and modernization of the university's enterprise network infrastructure.

Reporting to the Director of Network Services, the role emphasizes leadership, staff development, service quality, and collaboration with Security and IT

Qualifications

• Experience leading technical teams in enterprise network environments.
• Ability to mentor staff and develop engineering talent.
• Proven ability to manage 24x7 mission-critical networks.
• Strong communication with executives, vendors, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide unified leadership for Network Engineering and Network Operations.
• Oversee routing, switching, wireless, automation, and data center networks.
• Develop roadmaps, service strategies, and workforce plans.
• Ensure high availability, security, and resiliency of network services.
• Collaborate with Security, IT and campus stakeholders.
