Job summary

Dell Inc. is seeking an Unified Comms Engineer - Federal Customer in Chantilly, VA for an onsite, TS/SCI‑cleared role. You will design, deploy, and maintain enterprise WANs and network automation to support critical IT workloads.

Join a diverse team of engineers focusing on performance, stability, and scalability of next‑gen networks, with collaboration across internal and external stakeholders. Strong scripting (Python/Go) and SD‑WAN expertise are required.

Qualifications

• Design, deploy, and troubleshoot large-scale WANs and data center networks.
• Automate network changes and deployments using Ansible and scripts.
• Work with SD-WAN, NOS, and open networking APIs to optimize performance.
• Implement secure transport and QoS for latency-sensitive apps.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver scalable network solutions.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement changes through automation
• Deliver simple, sustainable, repeatable solutions and processes
• Operate and troubleshoot network routing, interconnectivity, platforms, performance, and configuration issues; including low level application interaction, Linux systems, and next‑gen networking software tools
• Maintain standards across the networking toolset and ensure compliance with policies
• Drive and support innovation from Top of Rack to Network Border
• Work with Network Architect to roll-out new designs and deployment
• Proficient in Python or Go programming
• Experience with Open vSwitch and RESTful APIs for network devices/services
• Experience with VLAN, LAN, WAN topologies
• Experience with Ansible for network configs
• Experience with SONiC and Cumulus NOS
• Experience with Kubernetes networking concepts and CNI
• Familiarity with MetalLB for load balancing
• Strong communication and time-management skills
