Job summary

SMS Data Products Group, Inc. is seeking a 24/7 Tier 1 IT help desk specialist to support AFCENT users and enterprise networks.

You will troubleshoot and resolve incidents on routers, switches, servers, and security devices, monitor performance, and escalate complex issues to senior engineers. This role requires DoD Secret clearance or eligibility for interim clearance and involves on-site work in SC with occasional CONUS TDY.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Microsoft server installation, Active Directory, storage, performance management, and maintenance.
• Must have firewall experience.
• Security clearance: DoD Secret or ability to obtain Interim Secret.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 Tier 1 IT help desk support to AFCENT users.
• Troubleshoot incidents on networks, routers, switches, servers, and firewalls.
• Monitor system and network performance and trends to identify issues.
• Escalate complex incidents to senior engineers for resolution.
• Perform Local Registration Authority duties.
• Provide general networking and LAN support.
• Provide WAN enterprise support.
• Provide O&M support.
• Document support as required.
• Support meetings and briefings.
• Support functional training.
• Provide CONUS TDY support as required.
