Job summary

SMS DATA PRODUCTS GROUP, INC seeks a 24x7 Tier 1 enterprise IT help desk technician to support AFCENT users in a high-availability environment. You will troubleshoot incidents on servers, routers, switches, and security devices, monitor performance, and escalate complex issues to SMEs.

On-site support and occasional CONUS TDY may be required. Requirements include 3+ years of relevant experience, expertise with Microsoft server roles and Active Directory, storage/performance management, and

Qualifications

• Must have 3 or more years of relevant experience.
• Must possess experience and demonstrate an understanding of Microsoft server installation roles active directory storage performance management and maintenance.
• Must have firewall experience.
• Certifications: CompTIA Network CE or CCNA; ITIL Foundation base; candidate has up to 60 days to acquire ITIL Foundation.

Responsibilities

• Provide 247 Tier 1 enterprise IT help desk technical support to AFCENT users.
• Troubleshoot and implement solutions to resolve incidents and problems on supported systems, network infrastructure, voice and video including routers, switches, servers, firewalls, proxies, and caching arrays.
• Monitor systems/network performance metrics and trends to identify substandard performance and anomalies.
• Escalate complex systems/network performance issues to senior engineers for analysis and resolution.
• Provide LRA duties, general networking and LAN/WAN support, O&M support, documentation, and briefings.
