Job summary

HDI Global Insurance Company in Chicago, IL, seeks a Training and Development Manager to design and lead enterprise-wide learning and talent development strategy. This role builds technical underwriting capability, strengthens leadership effectiveness, and creates career path frameworks and succession pipelines for critical roles.

Partnering with senior leadership, you will ensure the organization has the talent and bench strength required to support long-term growth and underwriting excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, organizational development, education, business, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of Learning & Development, Talent Management, Organizational Development, or HR leadership experience.
• Experience developing leadership and management programs.
• Experience leading succession planning and talent review processes.
• Experience supporting professional and technical career development frameworks.
• P&C Insurance experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead enterprise Learning & Development, and talent management strategy.
• Build leadership development programs for managers and future leaders.
• Create onboarding and new hire learning curriculums.
• Establish blended learning including instructor-led, e-learning, coaching, and mentoring.
• Manage external training providers, consultants, and educational partnerships.
• Develop underwriting academies, certification pathways, and technical excellence programs.
• Coordinate mentoring, job shadowing, and stretch assignments.
• Lead succession planning processes and talent reviews.
• Develop Individual Development Plans for high-potential employees.
• Measure training effectiveness and leadership pipeline health.
