Job summary

Durham County Government is seeking an IT Infrastructure Architect to provide strategic leadership in designing, integrating, and governing the County’s enterprise IT infrastructure landscape. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years in IT infrastructure architecture
Experience with enterprise infrastructure technologies such as servers, storage, networking, and cloud services
Knowledge of security standards (e.g., NIST) and data governance requirements

Responsibilities

Lead design and governance of enterprise application architecture.
Oversee enterprise IT infrastructure architecture for resiliency and performance.
Develop and maintain architecture standards, guidelines, and roadmaps.
Design secure, scalable infrastructure including servers, storage, networking, and cloud environments.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate goals into actionable solutions.
Conduct technology assessments and propose modernization strategies.
Mentor infrastructure engineers and project teams.
Ensure compliance with security policies and industry best practices.
