Job summary

General Dynamics IT is seeking an experienced IT Asset Manager to support the NASA JPL program, overseeing hardware, software, licenses, and other IT assets throughout their lifecycle. You will ensure accurate inventory, cost transparency, and compliance in a 24x7 environment.

The successful candidate will manage asset lifecycles, enforce policies, and collaborate with NASA stakeholders to optimize assets and reduce waste while maintaining security and operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in IT asset management or related fields.
• Experience in NASA's JPL or comparable federal mission environments.
• Knowledge of hardware, software licensing, procurement, and IT inventory processes.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Track full asset lifecycle from procurement to disposal.
• Ensure compliance with NASA, NIST and federal IT standards.
• Coordinate with IT operations and engineering for asset availability.
• Prepare reports on inventory, costs, utilization, and lifecycle status.
• Engage stakeholders and provide scalable asset management recommendations.
