Job summary

Southern Company is seeking an experienced Integration Specialist to design and deliver enterprise integrations across HR and IT landscapes. You will implement Oracle HCM Cloud integrations, develop REST/SOAP APIs, and coordinate middleware solutions to enable reliable data exchange.

You will troubleshoot production integrations, document architectures, and stay current with AI-assisted tooling to accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/MIS/Engineering or related field preferred.
• 3–5+ years of enterprise software development and delivery experience.
• Experience with middleware platforms such as OIC, MuleSoft, Boomi, BizTalk, or similar.
• Experience designing integrations, data transformations, and APIs for HR systems.
• Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs and secure data exchange.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect integration solutions enabling data exchange between enterprise systems.
• Develop integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and adapters (REST, SOAP, DB, File/FTP).
• Configure connectivity, authentication, and data security across systems.
• Troubleshoot production integrations and performance bottlenecks.
• Create and execute integration test plans and ensure data integrity.
• Document integration architectures and runbooks; maintain knowledge base.
• Stay current with new integration tools and industry trends.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve delivery.
• Understand HR processes (Hire-to-Retire) to inform integration design.
