Job summary

Southern Company is seeking an HR Business Analyst to support the Oracle HCM suite, including Core HCM, Workforce Compensation, Absence Management, and Person Management. You will partner with HR COEs to translate HR needs into technology, design configurations, and manage complex processes and integrations.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience with Oracle HCM Cloud, and excellent communication to support end users and drive efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Oracle HCM Cloud core best practices.
• 3+ years of experience supporting HCM applications.
• 3+ years in core Oracle HCM, Workforce Compensation and Absence Modules.
• Knowledge of HCM Extracts, HDL Loading and Data Modeling/Reporting.
• Advanced experience with Excel and/or Access for data analysis/manipulation.
• Experience with MS Suite of productivity tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Proven written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting.
• Demonstrated consulting skills and proactive problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Partner with HR COEs to understand business processes and drive efficiencies through technology solutions.
• Design, develop, and implement core HCM solutions and integrations, including Oracle PaaS.
• Contribute to process improvements, issue tracking, and knowledge management using MS Teams/SharePoint.
• Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve service desk incidents.
• Collaborate with HR and IT to advance capabilities and solve business needs.
• Review and remediate core HCM enhancements and patches.
• Consult on solution capabilities and manage complex processes.
• Manage vendor relationships and influence product direction via user groups.
• Support end users and manage multiple small projects and initiatives.
• Leverage analytics to drive system changes and training efforts.
