Job summary

GuideStone seeks an experienced Principal, Insurance Journey and Business Readiness in Dallas to own end-to-end insurance workflow and drive readiness for pilots and rollouts. You will align cross-functional teams, mentor process owners, and shape future-state design with a strong focus on governance and risk reduction.

The role requires deep insurance operations knowledge, advanced project management, and the ability to influence stakeholders while delivering concrete improvements in a complex

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, insurance, operations or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Deep working knowledge of how insurance work flows end to end across sales, underwriting, enrollment, billing, claims and servicing
• Strong project management skills with ability to develop plans, allocate resources and monitor progress
• Experience redesigning work and removing or simplifying processes
• Experience with a full system implementation and post-implementation stabilization
• Ability to work with autonomy on complex problems and influence without formal authority
• Ability to align leaders with differing views and drive decisions

Responsibilities

• Maintains the end-to-end view of the insurance journey across all in-scope process areas and evolving enterprise systems
• Acts as business owner of future-state process designs and ensures designs reflect actual work before build
• Resolves ownership when two teams claim the same activity and records decisions
• Identifies work to stop, simplify or automate and redirects freed capacity
• Translates process changes into role, workload and skill implications for HR decisions
• Leads readiness for pilots and rollout groups, ensuring training and ownership are set before go-live
• Keeps internal teams and external partners aligned across scope and delivery
• Represents cross-functional consequences in prioritization discussions with product and technology
• Establishes journey health measures and reports findings to leadership
• Extends methods for future phases and platforms to avoid rebuilding knowledge
• Mentors process owners, analysts and business leads in end-to-end thinking
