Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. is hiring an Enterprise Team HR (ETHR) site lead for Wilmington Biotech. The role focuses on shaping talent strategy, organizational design, and workforce planning to support the new facility opening in the coming years.

You will partner with the GBO organization and SLT, drive inclusion, coaching, and talent development. On-site work is expected in early 2027 with hybrid arrangements and cross-site collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or in pursuit in HR, business or related discipline
• Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive HR or closely related business experience
• Demonstrated HR functional competence in one or more HR disciplines
• Ability to influence, consult with and coach leaders and managers
• Ability to leverage data analytics and HR systems for insights
• Ability to prioritize time and solve problems strategically
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated collaboration across HR and with stakeholders
• Change Management or Organization Transformation experience
• Experience in organization development, design, change management, workforce planning preferred
• Experience supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing and supply preferred
• Knowledge of employment laws and policies, strengthening employee relations and HR capability preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic HR and executive coaching to site leads
• Drive talent and diversity strategy with COE leaders
• Lead talent management, design, alignment and restructuring activities as needed
• Coach senior leadership through cyclical people processes (talent, succession, performance, compensation)
• Partner with Learning & Development for talent strategies and solutions
• Partner with Talent Acquisition on workforce planning and strategy
• Lead HR initiatives and provide project management across the client organization
• Collaborate across HR network to resolve escalated issues and enable business strategy
• Drive inclusive culture, performance and employee relations
• Ensure consistent employee and manager experiences and talent movement across the organization
