Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. seeks a GIS Consultant with a strong Enterprise GIS background to handle software technical support and software testing for mobility GIS solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving abilities, communication skills, ability to self-manage projects, and be comfortable working in a collaborative team environment. The responsibilities include real-time customer support, issue analysis, and documentation in CRM, with strong collaboration across the team.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience with GIS technologies, ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise/Portal.
• Experience communicating with customers with varying technical aptitudes in GIS/IT.
• Knowledge of information technology frameworks, including security, networking, installation, configuration, and performance.
• Self-starter, team player, with ability to bring alternate points of view to the discussion.
• Strong organizational skills and collaboration skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality technical support by responding in real-time to customer needs in cases submitted via email, chat, and/or phone interactions.
• Analyze customer issues to identify, understand, and articulate the core problem and potential solutions.
• Partner with team members to identify common patterns, align on the best path forward, and solve cases.
• Maintain comprehensive case documentation in our customer relationship management (CRM) system to better understand the mission and activities of our customers.
