Job summary

HealthPartners is seeking a dynamic Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis to build and lead a new enterprise FP&A function. Reporting to the CFO, this leader will consolidate plans, drive forecasting discipline, and translate complex data into clear, strategic insights for senior leadership.

The role oversees a team of ~15 and partners across health plan and care delivery, finance, and shared services to optimize performance and support organizational priorities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in progressive finance roles, preferably in healthcare systems or payer-provider settings.
• Demonstrated people leadership with responsibility for developing direct reports.
• Expertise in FP&A, financial modeling and core finance practices.
• Strong executive communication and ability to present complex data clearly.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead Enterprise FP&A; oversee consolidated forecasting for health plan and care groups.
• Establish FP&A calendar, governance, and standardized forecasting methods.
• Align forecasting with accounting and operational finance; drive insights.
• Lead integration efforts between two large health systems; track synergies.
• Provide scenario modeling and strategic decision support to senior leaders.
• Oversee long-range financial planning and capital planning processes.
• Drive enhancements in financial systems, reporting, and analytics.
• Prepare executive and board-level presentations with actionable insights.
