Job summary

HealthPartners is expanding its Finance Department and seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to support health plan financial analysis, reporting systems, accounting and budgeting efforts. The role develops, maintains and analyzes financial models for the organization.

The candidate will work with management across levels to enhance reporting, support forecasting and participate in special projects, including monthly close and RFP responses.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in finance, accounting, or business related field.
• 1 year experience in finance, accounting, and/or business related field.
• Strong spreadsheet and computer skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with all levels of management and staff.
• Experience in the health care industry.
• Experience with budgeting/forecasting.

Responsibilities

• 1. Productively work with all levels of management; support and assist leaders, other team members, and other areas of HealthPartners.
• 2. Enhance processes and procedures to facilitate accurate and timely financial and managerial reporting and financial analysis.
• 3. Maintain, develop, and support financial and managerial reporting.
• 4. Assists leaders with operating and financial analysis efforts.
• 5. Supports financial forecasting and budgeting processes.
• 6. Participates in special projects or studies as directed.
• 7. Assist with the monthly close process.
• 8. Support purchasing contracts.
• 9. Support RFP responses
