Job summary

Southland Industries in California seeks a Manager of Data & Analytics to lead a team of data engineers, BI developers, and contractors. You will drive scalable data platforms, governance, and AI-ready solutions across Power BI, SQL Server, Azure, and Fabric.

The role partners with Enterprise Architecture, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver enterprise dashboards, data warehouses, and semantic models while mentoring staff and enforcing engineering best practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Data & Analytics, Data Engineering, BI, or DB Development.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, SQL Server, Azure SQL, data warehousing, Git, CI/CD, and Agile delivery.
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders and managing employees/contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead a Data & Analytics team of engineers, BI developers, and contractors.
• Deliver scalable, secure, enterprise-grade data solutions aligned with business strategy.
• Oversee Power BI dashboards/reports, data warehouses, and semantic models.
• Promote governance, CI/CD, automation, and modern data platform practices.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, IT, and AI teams to enable enterprise AI initiatives.
