Job summary

Atos in Chicago is seeking a dedicated Solution Architect to design, engineer, and support our enterprise backup and storage environment. You will act as the technical lead for architecture decisions, capacity planning, and vendor coordination across the storage and data-protection estate.

You will architect and support platforms such as Dell PowerMax, VMAX, and NetApp, lead capacity planning and performance tuning, and design data-protection solutions with Commvault while ensuring retention,

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect for Dell PowerMax/VMAX and NetApp storage.
• Strong backup/recovery expertise, ideally with Commvault.
• Expertise in SAN/NAS, replication, snapshots, and data-protection design.
• Understanding retention, immutability, and enterprise security standards.
• Excellent documentation and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect and support enterprise storage and backup platforms.
• Lead capacity planning, performance tuning, and lifecycle management.
• Design and maintain data-protection solutions aligned to standards.
• Support storage provisioning, replication, snapshots, and NDMP/NAS backups.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, InfoSec, and vendors on modernization.
• Produce architecture docs, run books, and design proposals.
