Job summary

Ideal candidates bring 4 years of storage engineering experience, expertise with NetBackup or Commvault, and strong automation skills (Ansible, Bash).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of hands-on storage engineering in an enterprise environment.
• Experience with NetBackup or Commvault and multi-site replication.
• Deep expertise in storage technologies from multiple vendors (e.g., IBM, NetApp, Dell EMC, Pure Storage).
• Solid understanding of Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS, and SMB.
• Proficiency in scripting (Ansible, Bash) for automation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and communication.

Responsibilities

• Data protection and security by managing backup, recovery, replication, and DR processes.
• Administer multi-vendor storage environments (SAN, NAS, cloud object storage) and perform maintenance.
• Design and implement scalable, resilient storage solutions meeting evolving needs.
• Monitor storage performance and optimize throughput.
• Troubleshoot storage incidents; perform root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Develop Ansible automation scripts to streamline tasks.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for backup and storage systems.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Participate in Agile product meetings, deployments, and related tasks.
