Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies is seeking a seasoned Backup and Storage Infrastructure Engineer in Illinois to manage and optimize enterprise storage and backup environments. You will design, implement, and operate storage solutions spanning SAN, NAS, and cloud object storage, with emphasis on data protection, DR, and high availability.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on storage engineering in an enterprise environment.
• Experience with NetBackup or Commvault and DR/multi-site replication.
• Deep expertise across major vendors (IBM, NetApp, Dell EMC, Pure Storage).
• Proficient in Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS and SMB.
• Scripting in Ansible or Bash for automation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and communication.

Responsibilities

• Data protection & security: backup, recovery, replication, DR planning.
• System management: administer SAN, NAS, and cloud object storage.
• Design and architect scalable, cost-efficient storage solutions.
• Performance tuning and optimization for storage systems.
• Troubleshooting storage incidents; root cause analysis.
• Develop and apply Ansible automation to tasks.
• Create and maintain storage documentation and runbooks.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and deployments.
