Job summary

Atos in Chicago is seeking a dedicated Solution Architect to design, engineer, and support our enterprise backup and storage environment. You will act as the technical lead for architecture decisions, capacity planning, and vendor coordination across the storage and data-protection estate.

You will architect and support platforms such as Dell PowerMax, VMAX, and NetApp, lead capacity planning and performance tuning, and design data-protection solutions with Commvault while ensuring retention,

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect for Dell PowerMax/VMAX and NetApp storage.
• Strong backup/recovery expertise, ideally with Commvault.
• Expertise in SAN/NAS, replication, snapshots, and data-protection design.
• Understanding retention, immutability, and enterprise security standards.
• Excellent documentation and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect and support enterprise storage and backup platforms.

Dedicated Solution Architect responsible for the design, engineering, and operational support enterprise backup and storage environment. Acts as the technical lead for architecture decisions, capacity planning, and vendor coordination across the storage and data-protection estate.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and support enterprise storage and backup platforms, including Dell PowerMax, VMAX, and NetApp.
• Lead capacity planning, performance tuning, and lifecycle management for the storage estate.
• Design and maintain data-protection solutions (Commvault, immutable/air-gapped backup) aligned to CNA retention and security standards.
• Support storage provisioning, replication, snapshots, and NDMP/NAS backup operations.
• Partner with infrastructure, InfoSec, and vendor teams on modernization, migrations, and issue resolution.
• Produce architecture documentation, run books, and design proposals for review.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven Solution Architect experience with Dell PowerMax / VMAX and NetApp storage.
• Strong background in enterprise backup and recovery (Commvault preferred).
• Expertise in SAN/NAS, replication, snapshots, and data-protection design.
• Understanding of backup retention, immutability, and regulated-enterprise security standards.
• Strong documentation and stakeholder-communication skills.
