Job summary

Input Technology Solutions is seeking a Data Storage & Backup Systems Engineer in Warrenton, VA. The role focuses on designing and managing enterprise storage, backups, and DR across Windows and Linux environments.

You will work with SAN/NAS, Nutanix/VMware, and Commvault, ensuring security, compliance, and robust documentation. A Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility or TS with SCI potential is required.

Qualifications

• 10 years of relevant storage experience in enterprise environments.
• Expertise with SAN, Fiber Channel, and hybrid cloud storage.
• Experience managing Nutanix/VMware in Windows and Linux.
• Hands-on with Commvault, HPE storage products, StoreOnce, and tape backup.
• Ability to communicate complex topics clearly within a team.
• Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility or TS with SCI potential.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage high-performance storage systems (SAN/NAS).
• Oversee enterprise storage for Nutanix/VMware in mixed OS environments.
• Configure RAID, LUNs, and storage pools for efficiency and redundancy.
• Monitor performance, capacity, and throughput to prevent bottlenecks.
• Ensure HIPAA/PCI DSS compliance and maintain thorough docs.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and implement mitigations.
• Develop disaster recovery plans and test readiness.
• Establish data backup and replication across multiple locations.
• Rebuild systems after failures to maintain continuity.
• Produce detailed system documentation and capacity reports.
