Job summary

Babson College seeks a Manager, Media & AV to lead enterprise AV services across classrooms, conference spaces, and events. You will shape design standards, oversee budgets and vendor partnerships, and ensure reliable, high-quality support for on-campus and hybrid programs.

The role requires deep AV expertise, strong leadership, and collaboration with IT, Facilities, and academic units. On-site work is required with occasional travel and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 7–10 years of progressive experience in AV/media services leadership; minimum 5 years managing staff and a budget.
• Deep technical knowledge of AV systems design, signal flow, control systems (Crestron, Cisco), and digital media workflows.
• Proven ability to lead and develop cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
• Strong project management skills with experience delivering large-scale AV or media infrastructure projects.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience with budget development, vendor negotiation, and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

• Own the enterprise AV roadmap, standards, and lifecycle strategy across all supported spaces.
• Define and maintain AV design standards, room typologies, and technology reference architectures.
• Align AV services with collaboration platforms (Teams, Zoom, Webex) and enterprise IT standards.
• Develop and manage AV budgets, forecasts, and capital planning; evaluate emerging AV technologies and recommend investments.
• Oversee budgeting, procurement, and inventory management for AV assets.
• Drive continuous improvement of AV reliability, usability, and user satisfaction.
• Manage AV integrators, service providers, and technology vendors; oversee contracts and SLAs.
• Ensure high-quality support for events (lectures, board meetings, commencements) and hybrid programs.
