Job summary

Babson College is seeking a Manager of Media & AV to lead enterprise AV services across classrooms, conference rooms, and event venues. You will shape the AV roadmap, set standards, and oversee budgets and vendors to deliver reliable user experiences.

The role requires strong leadership, technical depth in AV systems, and collaboration with IT, Facilities, and academic/business units. Hybrid work with on-campus presence is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required.
• 7–10 years in AV/media services leadership with 5+ years managing staff and budgets.
• Deep technical knowledge of AV systems design and workflow.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the enterprise AV roadmap, standards, and lifecycle strategy across all spaces.
• Define AV design standards, room typologies, and technology reference architectures.
• Align AV services with Teams/Zoom/Webex and IT standards.
• Develop and manage AV budgets, forecasts, and capital planning.
• Oversee vendors, contractors, and service providers; manage contracts and renewals.
• Ensure high-quality support for events, lectures, board meetings, and hybrid programs.
• Oversee day-to-day AV operations, incident response, and proactive maintenance.
• Lead and mentor AV technicians and engineers; establish training plans.
• Establish SLAs, support models, and escalation paths for AV services.
• Create runbooks and knowledge articles; lead major AV projects and upgrades.
