Job summary

Humana Inc. is expanding its Quality Engineering leadership with a Principal QE Architect, a senior technical leader responsible for defining, designing, and scaling enterprise-wide test automation strategies, frameworks, and AI-enabled quality engineering capabilities.

The role partners with Engineering, Architecture, DevOps, Product, and Quality Engineering teams to accelerate software delivery through modern automation and intelligent quality practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 10+ years of software quality engineering, automation engineering, SDET, or software engineering experience.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise automation frameworks.
• Deep expertise with automation technologies including Selenium, Playwright, Tricentis Tosca, Cypress, Appium, API Automation frameworks.
• Extensive experience with Azure DevOps (ADO), qTest, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Strong programming skills in Java, C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or similar.
• Experience implementing automation solutions for web, API, microservices, cloud-native, and distributed applications.
• Strong understanding of Agile, DevOps, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, and Continuous Delivery practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership, consulting, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute Humana's enterprise automation architecture strategy and roadmap.
• Establish reusable enterprise automation frameworks for web, mobile, API, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Create standards and reference architectures for quality engineering and automation across segments.
• Evaluate emerging automation technologies and AI-driven testing solutions.
• Lead automation frameworks integration into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Mentor quality engineers and technical leaders on enterprise automation practices.
• Enable end-to-end traceability between requirements, tests, and production outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement of automation reliability and maintenance.
