Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced audiovisual support specialist in New York to operate, support, and continuously improve enterprise AV technologies. You will manage systems across webcams, lighting, microphones, projectors, and more, ensuring health and performance of the networked environment.

The role requires collaboration with legal professionals, vendors, and IT teams, plus strong documentation skills to develop standards, procedures, and training materials for firm-wide use.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS/IS/AV field.
• A minimum of three (3) years in an audiovisual support or integration role.
• A minimum of two (2) years working with legal professionals.
• Deep understanding of videoconference systems and AV components (Control Panels, Digital Sound Processors, Video & USB Switchers, HDMI & USB Extenders, cameras, mics).
• Proficient knowledge of Internet and network topology as it relates to AV equipment and applications.
• Familiarity with Cisco, Crestron, Polycom, Extron, Logitech, Shure, and Bi-Amp AV systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with team members and leadership.
• Ability to protect and maintain highly sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Operate, support, maintain, and continuously improve the firm’s audiovisual technologies.
• Manage and support AV systems, including webcams, lighting, microphones, projectors, sound equipment, cabling, and related technologies.
• Monitor the health, performance, and availability of enterprise audiovisual systems.
• Proactively identify, troubleshoot, escalation, and resolve issues to minimize user impact.
• Partner with internal stakeholders, vendors, and technology teams to assess operational needs and recommend audiovisual solutions, standards, and improvements.
• Assist in evaluating, designing, installing, documenting, testing, and repairing integrated audiovisual systems and applicable hardware and software.
• Coordinate audiovisual deployments, upgrades, refreshes, and maintenance activities with vendors, facilities teams, and technology partners.
• Develop and maintain firm-wide configuration standards, technical documentation, inventory records, operational procedures, knowledge base content, and training materials.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with an emphasis in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related Audiovisual field, preferably
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in an audiovisual support or integration role
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience working with legal professionals, preferably
• Deep understanding of videoconference systems and audiovisual components, including Control Panels, Digital Sound Processors, Video & USB Switchers, HDMI & USB Extenders, cameras, and microphones
• Proficient knowledge of the Internet and the firm’s network topology and how it relates to audiovisual-specific equipment and applications
• Familiarity with videoconference systems and audiovisual components from Cisco, Crestron, Polycom, Extron, Logitech, Shure, and Bi-Amp
• Professional interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with team members and other organizational levels
• Ability to protect and maintain highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information
