Job summary

Jobtailor in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced AV Technician to lead complex installations, site surveys, and system integration for government projects. You will fabricate racks, load control code, configure networks, and develop documentation while mentoring contract technicians.

Strong reading/writing skills and a Public Trust clearance are required. Preferred: AVIXA and manufacturer certifications, plus experience with Crestron Studio and IP networks.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working independently and collaboratively in team environments
  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated technical reading and writing skills
  • Minimum 5 years of experience fabricating, installing, configuring, and troubleshooting audiovisual systems and equipment
  • Minimum 5 years of experience configuring AV network equipment and troubleshooting control systems
  • Minimum 5 years of experience reading and creating technical documentation, drawings, blueprints, and CAD designs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills with experience supporting multicultural environments
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Audiovisual Technology, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Information Technology, Radio/Television, Communications, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex audiovisual systems installations and integrations

Job description
