Job summary

Travelers is seeking an Architect to join our Enterprise Technology Solutions organization in Hartford, CT. You will design and guide the technology vision, creating enterprise-wide architectures to enable business transformation and scalable solutions.

The role requires expertise in cloud-native technologies, APIs, AI/ML, and emerging platforms, with a focus on reducing technical debt and accelerating innovation through governance and strategic roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related STEM field or equivalent.
• 4+ years in architecture/software engineering, or 2–3 years in technology architecture.
• Hands-on experience with modern architectures and technology modernization.
• Ability to lead in an agile operating model and collaborate across teams.
• Insurance technology experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural direction on technical patterns and target state technology architecture.
• Define roadmaps and guide implementation to accelerate innovation.
• Prototype and conduct technology proofs of concepts as needed.
• Partner in the execution of proof of technologies and governance activities.
• Support technology modernization initiatives and reduce technical debt.
