Planet Labs is seeking a Software Engineer - Enterprise AI to lead deployment of enterprise-grade AI applications and foundational AI infrastructure. The role focuses on AI gateways, agent registries, and compliant workflows within a multinational, hybrid setup in San Francisco.

You will work with Gemini Enterprise, Claude, and Google Gemini Enterprise App to build intelligent agent experiences and automate complex business processes across internal teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience deploying applications on GCP and AWS ecosystems.
• Learning mindset and adaptability to change.
• Experience in regulated engineering environments (ITAR, EAR, FedRAMP).
• Expertise with GCP and AWS.
• Experience with AI Gateways, Agent Registries, and AI orchestration platforms.
• Expertise with Python, Vector Databases, and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain production-ready Enterprise AI applications and internal tools.
• Partner to create end-to-end intelligent agent experiences and automate workflows.
• Evaluate, customize, and integrate platforms like Google Gemini Enterprise App.
• Maintain a centralized AI Gateway for LLM API routing and cost controls.
• Integrate an AI Agent Registry to catalogue and govern agents.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting for AI touchpoints.
• Manage AI data pipelines to adhere to ITAR/EAR standards.
• Collaborate with Security and Legal for access controls and compliance checks.
• Promote AI engineering best practices across business units.
• Evangelize AI tools to accelerate enterprise adoption.
