Job summary

Planet Labs is seeking a Software Engineer – Enterprise AI in San Francisco to lead hands-on deployment of enterprise-grade AI applications, build AI gateways and an AI agent registry, and integrate platforms like Gemini Enterprise App and Claude.

You bring 6+ years in software engineering, a Bachelor's in CS or related field, strong GCP/AWS, Python, vector databases, and ITAR/EAR compliance experience. This is a full-time, hybrid role with three days in the SF office.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with GCP and AWS ecosystems.
• Experience in regulated engineering environments (ITAR/EAR/FedRAMP).
• Proficiency with Python, vector databases, and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain production-grade Enterprise AI applications and internal tools.
• Develop and manage AI gateways, agent registries, and AI orchestration workflows.
• Collaborate with Security and Legal to ensure data access controls and compliance.
