General Dynamics Electric Boat Corp. seeks an Enterprise AI Engineering & Platforms Manager to lead the transformation of AI across our enterprise.

This hands-on technical leader will bridge AI concepts with practical deployment, security, and scalable operations within a large defense-focused environment. Responsibilities include defining enterprise AI direction, building reusable platforms, and driving governance, cost management, and cultural adoption.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or Data Science.
• 8+ years of experience with cloud platforms, enterprise infrastructure, APIs, distributed systems, data platforms, networking, identity, security, and observability.
• 4+ years of supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated experience building and deploying AI/ML/LLM solutions into production.
• Experience leading enterprise-scale technology initiatives.
• Experience leading highly technical engineering or architecture teams.
• Experience working inside Defense security environments (DoW or DIB).

Aufgaben

• Architect enterprise AI strategy and roadmap for an AI-enabled enterprise.
• Define and support deployment of AI foundation across compute, cloud, data, and security domains.
• Lead AI platform engineering with reusable platforms, APIs, and deployment patterns.
• Stay current on AI models, frameworks, and tooling to create real business value.
• Create standards and guardrails for model selection, data usage, and governance.
• Champion AI adoption and drive enterprise cultural transformation.
• Attract, develop, and lead senior engineers and architects.
