Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat Corp. in Groton, CT seeks an Enterprise AI Engineering & Platforms Manager who can bridge AI possibilities with scalable, secure enterprise deployment.

This hands-on leader will define AI technology direction, architect foundations, and govern platforms, data, and security across the organization. The role requires 8+ years in cloud and distributed systems, 4+ years of leadership, and proven experience taking AI/ML solutions to production in DoD/DIB contexts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/IS/Data Science required.
• 8+ years on cloud platforms, enterprise infrastructure, APIs, distributed systems, data platforms, networking, identity, security, and observability.
• 4+ years of supervisory experience.
• Production deployment of AI/ML/LLM solutions; experience from experiments to operations.
• Experience leading enterprise-scale technology initiatives.
• Experience leading highly technical engineering or architecture teams.
• Experience in DoW or DIB security environments.

Responsibilities

• Architect enterprise AI foundation including compute, cloud, networking, storage, data, identity, security, observability, and operations.
• Define and support AI platform capabilities to deploy AI at enterprise scale.
• Lead AI platform and service engineering with reusable platforms, APIs, tooling, and deployment patterns.
• Stay current on AI models, frameworks, infrastructure, and tools; assess business value.
• Create standards and guardrails for model selection, data usage, deployment, governance, and lifecycle.
