Job summary

BMO Financial Group is seeking a Senior AI Architect to serve as the singular architectural authority for enterprise AI across cloud and workspace estates, including AWS, Azure, Microsoft 365, and OSFI/OCC regimes. You will oversee the AI Platform, governance, and cross-team alignment while mentoring architects and guiding platform evolution.

The role requires 10+ years in software/ enterprise architecture with 3+ years in AI/GenAI, and a strong track record in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Strong executive presence with ability to influence senior leaders.
• Proven mentoring and leadership across architects and engineers.
• Deep AI/ML and GenAI solution architecture experience.
• Experience in regulated industries with model risk awareness.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the target AI architecture for the enterprise.
• Set direction across Directors and squads and acrossSecurity/DevOps/Data Engineering.
• Provide governance for major AI initiatives and represent at Architecture Review Board.
• Own architectural coherence of BMO’s Microsoft AI surface across organizations.
• Lead assessment of emerging AI capabilities and drive defensible positions.
