Job summary

Scale AI in New York seeks an experienced Forward Deployed AI Engineering Manager to bridge Scale's cutting‑edge AI capabilities with enterprise customers, leading a team of engineers to design, deploy, and adopt AI solutions in production. You will work directly with customer teams to integrate Scale's capabilities into critical workflows and drives successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years of management experience.
• Production Python experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, HuggingFace, OpenAI API.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with enterprise customers to understand technical infrastructure and requirements.
• Design and implement custom integrations between Scale's platform and customer data environments.
• Build data connectors and ETL pipelines for AI workflows.
• Deploy and configure AI models within security and compliance boundaries.
• Develop production-grade AI agents and orchestration across models and data sources.
• Lead multi-agent architectures and measure performance against business goals.
• Lead governance, prompt engineering, and optimization activities.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate customer needs into improvements.
