Job summary

Sierra is seeking a Forward Deployed Infrastructure Engineer to own end-to-end deployment lifecycles for enterprise customers. You will architect, deploy, upgrade, and manage Sierra's AI platform infrastructure, ensuring security and compliance across environments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in infrastructure, DevOps, platform engineering, or solutions architect roles with customer deployments.
• Experience with AWS, Terraform, container orchestration, and cloud networking (VPCs, IAM, DNS, load balancers).
• Experience deploying in customer-owned cloud environments with security reviews and compliance.
• Ability to translate complex infra discussions into actionable deployment plans.

Responsibilities

• Own deployment architecture conversations and execution across customer environments.
• Manage full infrastructure lifecycle for critical customers on Sierra's platform.
• Develop and maintain deployment runbooks, upgrade procedures, and automation tooling.
• Collaborate with engineering to ensure deployability and operability for diverse customers.
• Work with customer platform security and DevOps teams to meet constraints and compliance, during pre-sales and onboarding.
