Job summary

Sierra is seeking a Forward Deployed Infrastructure Engineer to own end-to-end deployment lifecycles for enterprise customers. You will architect, deploy, upgrade, and manage Sierra's AI platform infrastructure, ensuring security, compliance, and scalable operations across diverse environments.

Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Sales, and Customer Success to translate customer needs into concrete deployment plans and tooling that make deployments repeatable and reliable.

Qualifications

• Must have professional fluency in Spanish and English.
• 4+ years in infrastructure, DevOps, platform engineering, or solutions architecture with customer deployments.
• Deep experience with AWS, Terraform, container orchestration, and cloud networking (VPCs, IAM, DNS, load balancing).
• Track record of deployments in customer-owned cloud environments with security/compliance considerations.
• Ability to navigate enterprise stakeholders and translate needs into deployment plans.

Responsibilities

• Own deployment architecture discussions and execution across customer environments (VPC, IAM, DNS, provisioning).
• Manage full infrastructure lifecycle for key customers: deployment, upgrades, scaling, incident support.
• Develop runbooks, upgrade procedures, and automation to keep operations repeatable.
• Collaborate with engineering to ensure deployability and operability across environments.
• Work with customer platform security/DevOps to meet constraints and compliance.
