Job summary

Bank of America is seeking an Architecture and Technology Evaluation Lead to drive assessment and adoption of next-generation platforms strengthening data protection, privacy, governance, and discovery capabilities. The role serves as the technical lead for evaluating fintech partners and industry providers across Data Discovery, Protection, Privacy, and Governance domains.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Generative AI technologies, including architecture, evaluation, and adoption strategies.
• Deep understanding of enterprise architecture principles, application integration patterns, and distributed systems design.
• Proven ability to design and deliver solutions for large-scale, highly resilient, high-performance systems.
• Experience leading technology evaluations and presenting architectural recommendations to executives.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, security architecture, data governance, and privacy-by-design principles.
• Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and executive presentation skills.
• Experience working in regulated financial services or other highly regulated industries.

Responsibilities

• Create solution intent and architectural vision for complex solutions and prioritize requirements into a technology backlog.
• Contribute to the architecture roadmap across defined domains and establish best practices.
• Clarify architecture, assist with system design, and provide solution options.
• Lead design of complex architectures and prototype concepts, ensuring modular, adaptable architecture.
• Educate teams on technology practices and standardization strategies.
• Support the team in selecting the technology stack and preferred products.
• Perform design and code reviews to meet non-functional requirements such as security, performance, and reliability.
• Lead evaluation of emerging technologies and determine best-fit solutions for governance capabilities.
• Drive technical product assessment and architecture decision-making using frameworks like POC, AAA, and vendor comparisons.
• Define end-to-end evaluation strategy and roadmaps for new product onboarding.
• Establish architecture standards, integration patterns, and security controls.
• Collaborate with business, engineering, cybersecurity, and data teams to accelerate capability commercialization.
• Provide thought leadership in AI/ML, cloud-native architecture, and data platforms.
