Job summary

Jade Global is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer - Architect1 to lead discovery with enterprise customers and build production-grade AI applications and agents. You will design robust architectures, manage data flows, and drive end-to-end delivery across integration points and approvals.

You will collaborate with Jade teams to ensure secure, scalable, and reliable deployments, balancing quality, latency, and cost while guiding distributed engineers and writing production code.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with ownership of multiple production deployments.
• Strong Python engineering skills, including asynchronous programming, API development, automated testing, and debugging.
• Deep understanding of LLM application architecture, including model selection, embeddings, context management, and tool calling.
• Hands-on experience engineering agents and orchestration using a framework or custom implementation.
• Ability to build and tune retrieval-augmented generation pipelines with document ingestion, embeddings, and hybrid search.
• Experience developing rigorous AI evaluations using representative datasets and task-level metrics.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery with business users and technology teams to map workflows and identify bottlenecks.
• Translate customer priorities into practical solution designs and delivery plans.
• Build production-quality AI applications, APIs, and supporting services.
• Connect solutions to enterprise data sources and enforce authentication and permissions.
• Establish evaluation datasets, acceptance criteria, and monitor performance after deployment.
• Ensure production readiness with access controls, auditability, and operational handover.
• Provide technical direction to the delivery team and review code with stakeholders.
• Measure adoption and business impact, and contribute reusable engineering assets.
