Ford Credit is seeking a Principal AI Architect to shape its enterprise AI strategy and build secure, cloud-native, production-ready systems. You will lead AI, cloud, and security architects, set standards, and own high-impact architecture work while guiding modernization across legacy and cloud platforms.

The role requires executive judgment, a track record in enterprise AI/ML, and strong security and governance practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity or related field is required.
• 12+ years of progressive technology experience with enterprise/ cross-domain decisions.
• Experience architecting and operating enterprise AI/ML systems in production with generative AI and retrieval-based workflows.
• Deep cloud architecture experience on Google Cloud or comparable hyperscaler, with security expertise (Zero Trust, IAM, secrets).
• Ability to communicate complex trade-offs to executives and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Define Ford Credit’s multi-year enterprise AI architecture strategy and roadmaps.
• Establish AI-native software delivery lifecycle with explicit specs and bounded execution.
• Create reusable architecture patterns, contracts, and evidence bundles.
• Architect production agentic systems integrating models, tools, memory, and orchestration.
• Define autonomy levels with human oversight and auditable decision trails.
