Ford Credit is seeking a Principal AI Architect to shape an enterprise AI strategy and turn it into secure, cloud‑native, production‑ready systems. This leader will guide architects across AI, cloud, and security while owning high-impact work and establishing reusable patterns for AI delivery.

The role demands executive judgment, deep cloud experience (Google Cloud or similar), and a track record of delivering scalable, auditable AI platforms in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field.
• 12+ years of progressive technology experience, including 8+ years in architecture roles.
• Experience architecting and operating enterprise AI/ML systems in production.

Responsibilities

• Define Ford Credit’s multi-year enterprise AI architecture strategy and roadmaps.
• Establish AI-native software delivery lifecycle with explicit specs, bounded execution and evidence.
• Architect production agentic systems integrating models, retrieval, tools, memory, orchestration and security.
• Define risk-autonomy frameworks with checkpoints and auditable decision trails.
• Establish evaluation practices including automated testing, human review, and production monitoring.
• Advise senior leaders across engineering, product, cybersecurity, data, legal and risk.
