About the role

Canonical is seeking an Enterprise Account Executive to drive sales and expand our presence in the enterprise open source software market. The successful candidate will manage a territory, develop new business, and maintain existing customer relationships, with a focus on selling enterprise software, cloud, virtualization, and container solutions.

Responsibilities
  1. Represent Canonical and its solutions in your territory.
  2. Build and execute a territory plan for outreach and prospecting.
  3. Develop new pipeline through outreach, industry events, and marketing campaigns.
  4. Close contracts to meet or exceed bookings targets.
  5. Manage customer relationships throughout the sales cycle.
  6. Collaborate with technical teams to propose solutions.
  7. Maintain accurate pipeline data and forecasts.
  8. Establish relationships with key influencers and decision makers.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field.
  2. Experience with open source technology and enterprise sales.
  3. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and closing new accounts.
  4. Ability to travel regionally and internationally as needed.
  5. Professional proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
Preferred Skills
  • Vertical industry experience (finance, telco, health, etc.).
  • Experience speaking at industry conferences or events.
