Job summary

French Consulting is seeking an Otolaryngology Technician to support surgeons in the operating room and ENT clinic at Evans Army Community Hospital, Fort Carson, CO. You will scrub in on ENT procedures, prepare patients and equipment, and help keep the clinic running smoothly.

The role blends surgical support with clinic duties, including patient screening, post-operative care, and routine medication administration under supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of a CAAHEP- or ABHES-accredited Surgical Technologist program is required.
• At least 12 months of surgical services technician experience in the last 36 months is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required for this contract.

Responsibilities

• Scrub in as a surgical technician for major and minor ENT procedures.
• Occasionally serve as first surgical assistant.
• Check OR setup and arrange supplies and instruments as needed.
• Care for, identify, label, and deliver specimens to pathology.
• Perform point-of-use cleaning for contaminated instruments.
• Screen and check in patients; record vital signs and meds.
• Assist with pre- and post-operative care and wound care.
• Prepare and administer routine medications under physician/RN supervision.
• Monitor patients in recovery and carry out post-operative orders.
• Identify and help manage postoperative complications.
