Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation and sterile techniques.
• Familiarity with surgical equipment used in the operating room.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure during surgeries.
• Understanding of infection control protocols and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures.
• Set up sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment.
• Transport patients to the OR and assist with positioning.
• Pass instruments and supplies to the surgical team.
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and counts.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses and anesthesiologists.
• Assist in preparing the surgical site and managing drains.
